We planned to never see each other again, but I should really know by now that plans don't work out the way they're supposed to. There is absolutely no comic - or inspiring relief. You guys, Suzanne Redfearn possesses that talent. Unfortunately, some of the characters in this story will make decisions in that split second of time that they will have a very hard time living with afterwards. The 'trapped between life and death' story has been done before but this one delved more deeply into people's states of mind and so was a much more immersive reading experience. Jesse Vilinsky was OK with the delivery of the story. The only person who hasn't closed the door on her completely is Ledger Ward, a local bar owner and one of the few remaining links to Kenna's daughter. Overall, I really liked the story.

Not only do we see how each character handles the stress and fear of being trapped in a blizzard with little to no resources, but we see how humans make desperate decisions to save ourselves sometimes. The narrator was outstanding and the story and writing is so moving and incredible! But in this case they come off as messed-up and cold. The only downside is that it's hard to watch people suffer, and this book is a LOT of suffering in different ways. It was BEAUTIFULLY written. It is narrated by the ghost of one of the victims of the accident and at first, I wasn't sure I was going to like this, but I ended up loving it.
