I have the performance pack and over the last 3 months I've kept it outside. Right now, my hood has at least 40 rock chips, suprisely, the lower part of my car has maybe 2 chips, so to me, the carbon fiber look would LOOK alot better then my stockers right now money is tight so i would have the new repainted by Fall. I have a cf hood on my black eclipse. I agree, CF hood looks good on black and gray cars as it blends good. How about painting only some parts of the hood to still show parts of the CF weave but allow everything else to "flow" better?
