This artwork will be part of the Seattle Art Fair's off-site installation program, Experiments: Pure Research.
The South Lake Union Block Party is an important endeavor for Vulcan Real Estate. Volunteer for the Seattle Street Food Festival! Instead, of the burger competition - they have a Food Truck Alley, but the problem was that there were only about five food trucks for hundreds of people, so long lines everywhere. Vulcan tasked Hum with developing a friendly look and feel for the 2015 South Lake Union Block Party, a neighborhood celebration featuring live music, arts, a BBQ, and more. We'll be giving away prizes and facilitating casual networking so you can get to know new people and expand your network. Every neighborhood contributes a special summer event and this Friday it is South Lake Union's turn. The SLU Chamber and the Low Income Housing Institute are this year's non-profit beneficiaries. The crowd showed up, including some real dedicated fans rocking 'Moondoggie' T-shirts so they definitely have a following. At the Block Party, the Smackdown tradition has thrived and is one of the event's most popular elements, galvanizing Seattle's design community.
