The novel focuses on eight individuals, seemingly set apart yet indelibly intertwined, who must decide whether they want to live a long life or a deep one. The Measure – The Staff Recommends…. Some of the ramifications that Erlick teases out are expected: people generally trying to "make the most of life, " social strife about "unhinged" short-stringers, scientific inquiries about the source and validity of the strings. I find nothing that warrants my attention, nothing that amuses me, so I scroll up again, channel by channel, from bottom to top. It's truly original with an intriguing premise that's beautifully executed. Poitier was uncompromising as he pursued a personal and public life that would honor his upbringing and the invaluable legacy of his parents.
